Our skilled braiders ensure precision and attention to detail with each style, making your experience with Mama's Braids exceptional. Cancellation Policy
“Braided with soul, crafted with care.” At Mama’s Braids, every style is more than hair — it’s culture, confidence, and care. To ensure a smooth experience, please review the following: 1. Hair Preparation • No nits/lice — I cannot braid guests with lice. • Come with hair washed, detangled, dry & product-free. • Minimum length: 4 inches all over (under-coil only on afro hair). • You may bring your own oil if preferred. 2. Age Requirement • Clients must be 8+ years old. 3. Timing • Reschedule at least 48h in advance. • Call if running more than 15 mins late. • For styles over 4h, keep your day free. 4. Hair Extensions • Standard colours: 1B, 2, 4, 614. Text me 2 days before to confirm. • Other colours: 1 week notice required. • Tinsel options available — ask for availability. • If you bring your own hair, it must be pre-stretched Darling (or similar). No discount applies. 5. Deposits & Payments • Deposit required: $25 (<$50 styles), $50 ($50–250), $100 (>$250). • Deposits are non-refundable. • Balance due on appointment day. • Cancellations <48h or no-shows = deposit forfeited. • If I cancel, deposit is refunded or transferred. 6. Style Selection • Send a photo of your desired style for inspiration. • Send a photo of your hair so I can confirm suitability. • I don’t like to rush — sharing photos early helps us create the best result. 7. Availability • Schedule is released month-to-month. 8. Hair Care Products • We also offer hair care products: oils, braiding extensions, silky bonnets & more. • Some, like Shea Butter & Chebe Powder, are purely organic.
